Skin Biopsy

Skin biopsy is a procedure in which dermatologist cuts and removes a small sample of skin to have it tested. It can be done under local anesthesia. It's an office base procedure which help to diagnose skin cancer, few skin infection or other skin disorders. There are several types of skin biopsy like shave biopsy, punch biopsy, excisional biopsy and incisional biopsy. The biopsy tissue is then processed and examine under a microscope.
